๐Ÿ”‘ Key Takeaways

  • ETH was the week's outperformer, while BTC held a rough $62โ€“65K range.
  • $ZRO's$20.48M unlock (4.60% of circulating supply) is partly counterweighted by LayerZero's ongoing buyback of ZRO funded with Stargate revenue.
  • $H's $15.55M unlock (8.60% of circulating supply) is the week's largest release relative to float โ€” and it lands on a token in a deep, post-hack drawdown.
  • Jito's JIP-38 routes its JTX revenue share into a programmatic JTO buyback-and-burn.

Weekly Recap

Ethereum set the tone last week. ETH jumped about 6% to roughly $1,875 after June CPI came in softer than expected โ€” the index fell 0.4%, cooling odds of a near-term Fed rate hike โ€” before pushing to a fresh local high near $1,946.

The rally didn't hold cleanly. A sixth day of US airstrikes against Iran pulled risk appetite back into the second half of the week, sending BTC below $65K and ETH back under $1,900. Bitcoin spent most of the period range-bound between roughly $62K and $65K, still finishing higher week-on-week.

Upcoming Events

Next weekโ€™s scheduled token releases are set to exceed $700 Million in total value. Top tokens facing the largest cliff unlocks next week include $ZRO, $H, $KAITO, $XPL, and $SOSO.

Emission Screener

Unlock Spotlight: $ZRO

  • Unlock date: July 20, 2026
  • Unlock amount: $20.48M
  • Unlock as % cir. supply: 4.60%
  • Vested allocation: Strategic Partners, Core Contributors, and Token Repurchased
Release Schedule: $ZRO

LayerZero, the omnichain interoperability protocol, faces a moderate supply expansion here โ€” but the headline figure likely overstates the net new sell-side pressure. Since April 2026, 100% of Stargate revenue has been routed toward buying ZRO on the open market, and prior Foundation buybacks have already trimmed the gross monthly Strategic Partners unlock. That standing bid provides a degree of absorption that most unlocks of this size don't have. On the other side of the ledger, this remains a recurring release weighted toward strategic partners and contributors on a token that has spent much of the year well off its peak, so concentration among early holders is still the variable to watch. The key monitor is whether buyback-side demand continues to offset the incremental float as it hits.

$ZRO Buyback

Unlock Spotlight: $H

  • Unlock date: July 25, 2026
  • Unlock amount: $15.55M
  • Unlock as % cir. supply: 8.60%
  • Vested allocation: Community, Founder/Team, Investors, and Reserve

This is the larger release relative to float, and it arrives at a delicate moment. Humanity Protocol saw its token fall roughly 90% following a $36M exploit in June, after which the team migrated to a newly audited contract via a 1:1 swap. At 8.60% of circulating supply, the unlock is meaningful on its own terms, and because it spans nearly all vesting buckets โ€” community, team, investors, and reserve โ€” it touches insider allocations as well as community-facing ones.

Release Schedule: $H

With a depressed price and thin daily liquidity, even a fraction of the released tokens reaching the market could weigh on price. The counterpoint is transparency: the schedule is public and well-telegraphed, so some of the impact may already be priced in. Still, the setup carries elevated overhang risk, echoing the dynamic seen on other post-crash tokens in recent weeks.

Notable Tokenomics Update

Jito ($JTO) โ€” JIP-38 ties the token to product revenue

Jito moved from governance chip to cash-flow story last week. JIP-38 passed on July 13, one day before Jito Labs launched JTX, a self-custodial trading terminal built on Solana. The proposal commits the Jito DAO's revenue share from JTX to a programmatic JTO buyback-and-burn, with a minimum one-year commitment running through Q4 2027.

One clarification worth making, because it has been widely misreported: the mechanism does not route "100% of revenue." It directs the DAO's 80% revenue share from JTX into the buyback โ€” not the entire fee stream. The distinction matters for anyone modeling the impact.
